Job Title: Electrical Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical and related projects and managing procurement activities for approved materials and equipment. The role ensures cost-effective sourcing, timely purchase, and technical accuracy in all estimation and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation Responsibilities:

Review tender documents, electrical layouts, and specifications. Prepare cost estimates and BOQs for LV, MV, and control systems. Identify material requirements and coordinate with vendors for quotations. Prepare cost comparison sheets and support proposal submissions. Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs. Maintain estimation database and update rates regularly. Source and evaluate suppliers for electrical, mechanical, and project-related materials. Request, review, and compare quotations based on technical and commercial parameters. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors. Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials. Coordinate with stores, accounts, and project teams for smooth material flow. Maintain vendor records and build strong supplier relationships. Ensure all purchases comply with company quality and cost standards.

Skills & Competencies:

Sound knowledge of electrical components, control systems, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation/purchase software. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications. Attention to detail and strong analytical ability. Time management and multitasking capability.
