The ideal candidate will support and independently handle parts of the estimation process, including quantity take-offs, vendor interactions, cost analysis, and preparation of tender documents. This role requires solid electrical knowledge, organized documentation skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Estimation Manager in preparing
detailed cost estimates
for electrical EPC projects (MV/LV panels, cabling, earthing, lighting, power distribution, industrial installations, etc.).
Conduct
advanced quantity take-offs
from drawings, BOQs, SLDs, and technical specifications.
Prepare and review
BOQs, rate analysis, cost sheets, and price breakdowns
.
Coordinate with
vendors and subcontractors
to gather pricing, technical details, and delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain
price comparison sheets
, cost summaries, and material costing databases.
Support and partially lead the
technical and commercial bid preparation
process.
Review tender documents and identify deviations, clarifications, and risk factors.
Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accuracy of estimates.
Keep an updated repository of material rates, labor productivity data, and subcontractor profiles.
Maintain accurate and well-organized estimation files, drawings, and documentation.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
in estimation, tendering, or costing within an electrical EPC company (industrial/commercial/infrastructure projects preferred).
Strong understanding of
electrical systems, SLDs, MV/LV layouts, and construction drawings
.
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
for reviewing and extracting data from drawings.
Excellent command of MS Excel; knowledge of estimation or project management software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
