Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Management

Supervise installation of street lighting poles, LED fixtures, feeder pillars, cables, and associated electrical components. Coordinate layout planning, trenching, cable laying (HT/LT), earthing, and termination work. Ensure proper implementation of illumination design and lux level requirements.

2. Electrical Design & Technical Work

Prepare and review technical drawings, SLDs, BOQs, and load calculations. Assist in preparing project plans, material lists, and technical specifications. Conduct energy audits, lighting surveys, and illumination studies when required.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards (IS/IEC). Monitor quality of materials, installation work, and vendor performance. Maintain documentation for inspections, approvals, and testing.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Carry out testing of cables, MCCBs, contactors, earthing pits, and lighting circuits. Ensure smooth commissioning of street lighting networks and feeder pillars. Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective actions.

5. Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, government authorities, and internal teams. Track daily progress, prepare site reports, and update management. Provide technical support during inspections and audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. 2-5+ years of experience in street lighting / electrical infrastructure. Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, LED lighting, feeder pillar design, and cable routing. Ability to read technical drawings and use electrical testing tools. Good understanding of safety norms and electrical codes. Strong communication and site management skills.
