Job Description

Key responsibilities

Design and development:

Create designs for electrical systems, components, and products, such as motors, sensors, and power generation equipment. This includes developing new ways to use electrical power to improve existing products.

Testing and analysis:

Test prototypes and existing systems to ensure they function correctly, are reliable, and meet performance requirements. They also analyze system requirements, capacity, and cost to develop project plans.

Manufacturing and installation oversight:

Supervise the manufacturing and installation processes to ensure they align with design specifications and safety codes.

Maintenance and troubleshooting:

Develop maintenance procedures for electrical equipment and troubleshoot problems to ensure systems run smoothly and with minimal downtime.

Compliance and safety:

Ensure that all designs and systems comply with safety standards, regulations, and codes.

Collaboration:

Work with other engineers and professionals, including mechanical, software, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.

Documentation:

Create detailed technical documents, reports, and manuals outlining designs, testing procedures, and maintenance plans.
