Job Description

An Electrical Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment, often working from blueprints and schematics. They troubleshoot issues, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently, and comply with regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and machinery.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems in various settings.

Reading Blueprints:

Interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Collaboration:

Working with other technicians and engineers to optimize systems.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Supervision:

May supervise junior technicians or apprentices.

Safety:

Prioritizing safety and following safety procedures.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
