The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of all electrical systems in
Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Demineralization (DM) Plant, and Valve operations
. The role ensures uninterrupted plant performance, safety compliance, and reliability of electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle operation & maintenance of electrical panels, motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, and control systems.
Troubleshoot breakdowns in MCC, VFD, DG sets, transformers, switchgears, and PLC/SCADA systems.
Conduct preventive & predictive maintenance for all electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and energy efficiency guidelines.
Coordinate with operations team to ensure smooth functioning of STP, ETP, WTP & DM plants.
Maintain inventory of critical spares, cables, switches, and electrical consumables.
Prepare daily maintenance reports and assist in energy audits.
Support plant expansion, modifications, and new equipment installation projects.
Ensure minimal downtime through quick fault detection and resolution.
Work with external vendors, contractors, and auditors for inspections and certifications.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in treatment plants.
Hands-on experience with MCC panels, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, and motor control systems.
Knowledge of power distribution, earthing, and DG/UPS systems.
Troubleshooting & problem-solving ability.
Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to electrical codes.
Team coordination & communication skills.
Eligibility
B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in STP/ETP/WTP/DM plants or similar industrial utilities.
