Site Engineer (Electrical)

The person has to perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role in construction or installation any project at project site. In addition to their technical role, they work as part of the site management team, sharing responsibility for site security, health and safety, as well as the organization and supervision of material and human resources. He acts as the main technical coordinator for subcontractors on a construction site and with design engineer at head office.

Skills & Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree / diploma Work experience in electrical & instrumentation, automation engineering related projects & its implementation at site Technical skills - Sound technical skills pertaining to electrical, Instrumentation & automation engineering. Familiarity with electrical codes, and standards, Knowledge of electrical systems designs, including power distribution, lighting and control systems. Familiarity with electrical equipment including transformers, generators and switchgear, LT /HT panel, PLC/RIO panel. MCC/PMCC panel etc. Communication skills- Effective communication and collaboration skills with ability with diverse teams. Problem solving skills- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze and resolve complex site technical issues.
Key Responsibilities

Design & Drawing controlling and its smooth execution at site Electrical equipment, MCC/PMCC, S:LDB, LDB, JB etc., cable laying, cable tray & its structural Installation, earthing etc. and overall system integration & commissioning Testing & Field quality control Site troubleshooting if any arises and its resolution in consultation with RCM and PM Collaboration and communication Safety and compliance Documentations & reporting Site inspection as far as complete project scope is concerned. Progress monitoring and adherence of project schedule
Detail Job Role:

In connection to the above position, the following roles & responsibilities have to be performed by him:

Preparation of Drawing receipt register and updating on regular basis. Issue of Erection Drawings to Contractor. Checking of materials with Customer / Consultant as per drawing after receipt of materials at site and raised MDR in case any discrepancies. Checking of Civil Foundations incase civil foundation are prepared by client or other agency and preparation of protocol. Preparation of Planning and review of Monthly/ Weekly/ Daily schedule of erection in accordance to the guideline / directives of SM.
Preparation of detailed method statement for Lifting Plan with risk assessment and get it approved by Safety Officer.

In case of delay then preparation of catch up plan with manpower resources in accordance to the guideline / directives of SM. In case discrepancies in fabrication / drawing, Preparation of MDR and take corrective action in consultation with PM & SM. Preparation of monthly MRD report. Preparation of Erection Protocol and get it signed by Customer & Consultant after checking. Raising of Erection Invoice with requisite documents for obtaining client's certification in consultation with SM. Checking Contractors erection Bill with requisite documents. Keeping record of Extra Work done by Contractors with requisite documents. Checking of Final Bill of Contractors and material reconciliation. Keeping record of Materials issued to erection/ Fabrication Contractors and preparation of Material reconciliation Statement. Preparation and submission of Final erection Bill to client in consultation with SM

Should Have 8-10 Years of Exp
