Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to ensure the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and automation equipment within the plant. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, energy efficiency improvement, and compliance with all safety and statutory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and ensure proper functioning of electrical systems, panels, motors, and control circuits.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance with the maintenance team.
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs, drives (VFDs/servo), automation, and power supply issues.
Prepare and update electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Maintain records of daily activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and replacement of spares.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards (IEC/IS/NEC) and safety protocols.
Work with production/mechanical teams to resolve electrical faults.
Monitor energy use, load balancing, and power efficiency improvements.
Support audits, inspections, and documentation for ISO/TPM/5S programs.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare CAPA for recurring issues.
Contribute to automation and control system upgrades.
Maintain documentation for earthing, transformers, DG sets, MCCs, and panels.
Ensure calibration of instruments and protection devices.
Assist in training and skill development of junior staff and operators.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Hands-on knowledge of PLCs, drives, control panels, motor starters, and electrical safety.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
Familiarity with CMMS/SAP/ERP maintenance systems.
Exposure to TPM, TQM, or 5S preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Basic knowledge of energy conservation and efficiency.
Good communication skills.
