Position: Electrical Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Role Overview The Electrical Engineer will oversee the design, execution, and supervision of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of LV/ELV systems, UAE authority regulations, and hands-on experience with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design & Review o Review electrical drawings, SLDs, load schedules, and specifications. o Prepare and update shop drawings, load calculations, and cable sizing. o Ensure compliance with DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and DCD standards.

2. Site Supervision & Execution o Supervise installation of lighting, power distribution, DBs, SMDBs, MDBs, generators, ATS, UPS. o Oversee cable trays, conduits, earthing, and lightning protection works. o Ensure work follows approved drawings and safety standards.

3. MEP Coordination o Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Civil teams. o Attend coordination meetings and resolve site issues. o Raise RFIs and follow up on consultant approvals.

4. Material & Procurement Management o Prepare MTOs and verify BOQ quantities. o Review and approve material submittals. o Coordinate with procurement for material delivery.

5. Testing & Commissioning o Supervise insulation resistance, continuity, DB testing, lighting tests, generator/ATS checks. o Prepare test reports and ensure compliance before handover.

6. Documentation & Reporting o Maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and progress records. o Prepare as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, and handover files. o Assist with monthly progress reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills o Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. o 5-8 years of electrical MEP experience (UAE preferred). o Strong knowledge of UAE codes, DEWA, DCD regulations. o Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP tools. o Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Attributes o Experience in high-rise, commercial, villa, or industrial projects. o Familiarity with DEWA, DCD, Trakhees, DDA, Nakheel processes.
