To ensure efficient and safe operations across Retail Outlets (ROs) by supervising field teams, validating activities, ensuring vendor performance, maintaining critical records, driving compliance with safety and operational standards, and ensuring effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders including BPCL management.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Supervision & Daily Monitoring:
Conduct daily visits to ROs to verify that Zonal Supervisors (ZS) and Maintenance Service Technicians (MSTs) are performing tasks as per defined scope and schedule.
Share Daily Visit MIS reports with all concerned stakeholders.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce proper safety practices at the field level to ensure a zero-penalty environment.
Ensure that appropriate Work Permits are issued at the RO level before commencement of any job.
Vendor & Equipment Oversight:
Monitor the performance of CAMC vendors and PMC teams to always ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical equipment.
Identify and escalate any issues promptly for resolution.
Data & Record Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational, maintenance, and payment records as per company policy.
Compile reports and problem lists periodically for the concerned territory.
Review Meetings & Reporting:
Organize and participate in periodic review meetings with CVSs, SHs, and BPCL management.
Present full data sets with clearly defined actionable items and timelines.
Ensure field issues are raised and addressed appropriately.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Maintain constant engagement with Zonal Supervisors for operational updates and issue resolution.
Collaborating and sharing field experiences periodically with other team leads to ensure cross-learning and alignment across BPCL operations.
Project & SOR Management:
Identify and execute SOR (Schedule of Rates) jobs not covered in the main contract to upgrade ROs to model Retail Outlets.
Take prompt action in coordination with concerned authorities for job execution.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and permit-to-work systems.
Good understanding of maintenance contracts and vendor management.
Proficiency in reporting tools (Excel, MIS systems).
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
Experience in petroleum retail or infrastructure maintenance will be preferred.
Travel Requirement:
Frequent field visits across assigned territory.
