Design and development
Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for a variety of products and equipment.
Create schematics, technical drawings, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Analyze system requirements, capacity, and cost to develop a comprehensive system plan.
Research new solutions and estimate costs and project timelines.
Testing and analysis
Conduct tests on new and existing systems to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
Analyze test data, interpret results, and make necessary modifications.
Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy systems.
Project and team management
Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Oversee the work of technicians and craftspeople.
Liaise with clients, present findings, and prepare reports.
Compliance and maintenance
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
Supervise the installation and implementation of electrical systems.
Develop and maintain inspection and maintenance programs for equipment and systems.
Inspect and evaluate electrical equipment to ensure it meets safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during development or deployment.
