Job Description

Lead electrical design for material handling systems including cranes, conveyors, lifts, hoists, and automation equipment. Prepare electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN. Select and size motors, VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, and other electrical/control components as per project requirements. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (IEC/IS/CE). Coordinate with mechanical, automation, and production teams for seamless integration of systems. Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at client sites. Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure cost-effective procurement. Liaise with vendors and clients to finalize specifications and approvals.

Required Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical design for material handling equipment. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software. Understanding of PLC programming basics, industrial automation, and SCADA (advantageous). Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills. Familiarity with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory). 3-5 years of experience in electrical design & execution in material handling/manufacturing projects.
