Perform electrical safety testing
in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., IEC, EN, VDE, UL).
Technical reviews
: Evaluate and approve test reports, measurement results, and technical documentation.
Laboratory auditing
: Conduct lab inspections and audits according to normative requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
Assess test setups, measuring equipment, and procedures for compliance with standards.
Support the maintenance and renewal of laboratory accreditation (external certification body audits, internal audits).
Advise customers on standard requirements and safety-related questions.
Train employees in electrical safety standards and testing procedures.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable technical/engineering discipline.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience
as an electrical safety tester.
In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations:
IEC / EN safety standards for electrical devices
ISO/IEC 17025 (laboratory quality management and accreditation)
National standards (e.g., VDE, DIN) as applicable
Proficient in electrical test and measurement techniques (e.g., high-voltage testing, insulation resistance measurements, leakage current measurements).
Experience in preparing and validating test plans and test reports.
Proven experience in
auditing
(internal and external) and normative documentation.
Additional Information
Auditor qualification (ISO/IEC 17025 or equivalent).
Experience with international certification processes.
Participation in standards committees or industry associations in the field of electrical safety.
