Responsibilities

Create drawings:

Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for systems like power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Collaborate with engineers:

Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and interpret technical specifications.

Ensure compliance:

Verify that all drawings and designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Revise and update:

Modify and update existing electrical drawings as needed based on design changes or project requirements.

Maintain documentation:

Keep detailed records of all design changes and prepare documentation, including technical reports and specifications.

Conduct field surveys:

Visit project sites to gather data and ensure the accuracy of designs based on real-world conditions.

Quality control:

Perform quality control checks on drawings and design documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD. Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Ability to interpret technical specifications and sketches. Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with other professionals.
