Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer
Job Location: Kubadthal, Ta. Daskroi, Ahmedabad

An Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer designs electrical systems (panels, schematics, SLDs) using software like AutoCAD/EPLAN, prepares Bill of Quantities (BOQ), estimates project costs (materials/labor), selects components, ensures standards compliance (IEC/NEC), coordinates with sales/procurement/production, and liaises with clients for approvals, requiring a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and proficiency in design/estimation tools for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design: Develop detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts (PLC, VFD, MCC), Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and wiring diagrams.
Estimation & Costing: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), load sheets, material take-offs, and comprehensive project cost estimates.
Technical Documationtation: Create datasheets, technical specifications, and design reports.
Coordination: Collaborate with sales, procurement, production, and external consultants for requirements, approvals, and execution.
Client Interaction: Gather requirements, handle technical clarifications, and get drawings approved.
Standard Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant Indian (CEA, BIS) and international (IEC, IEEE, UL) standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Education: B.E./B. TECH in Electrical Engineering.
Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, MS Excel, Instaquote; knowledge of ETAP/PVSyst is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV/HV switchgear, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems.
Experience: Proven ability in design, costing, BOQ preparation, and component selection.
Soft Skills: Good communication, problem-solving, time management, and client-handling skills.
