JD For Electrical Design Engineer (AutoCAD)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer who is proficient in AutoCAD (Electrical) to design, develop, and document electrical systems for Industria projects. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD

Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, Switchgear selection, Automation accessories selection.

Prepare specifications, BOM (bill of materials), and technical documentation for electrical systems.

Collaborate with mechanical, Engineering, Sales & marketing teams to integrate electrical systems into overall design.

Review and validate vendor drawings, submittals, and ensure compliance with project requirements

Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g. IEC, NEC, local standards)

Conduct site visits or inspections as necessary to validate designs and resolve issues

Support procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases with electrical design knowledge.

Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, schedules, and project management support

Provide continuous improvements, value engineering, lessons learned and design standardization.
