Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Electrical Design Engineer

with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the

transformer manufacturing industry

. The candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical designs, drawings, and documentation in line with client specifications and applicable standards for power and distribution transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical schematics for

power and distribution transformers

as per

IS/IEC standards

. Prepare and review technical documents including

GTPs, Type Test Reports, QAPs, Load Loss Calculations, Impedance Calculations, and Temperature Rise Calculations

. Generate accurate and detailed drawings for

HV/LV windings, core & coil assembly, terminal connections, and marshalling boxes

. Create and verify

wiring diagrams, control schematics, and protection schemes

. Ensure all designs meet client specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with the

mechanical design, production, and testing departments

to ensure smooth execution of transformer projects. Support in

customer technical discussions, tender document review

, and

compliance mapping

. Provide technical assistance during

routine and type testing

at the factory. Participate in

cost optimization, standardization, and design improvement initiatives

. Maintain accurate project documentation and version control.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in

Electrical Engineering

or equivalent. Minimum

4 years of hands-on experience in electrical design of transformers

. Strong knowledge of

IS, IEC, and other international transformer standards

. Proficiency in design tools like

AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN

, or similar software. Good understanding of transformer operation, protection schemes, and testing protocols. Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in designing

special transformers

(e.g., furnace, dry-type, rectifier, solar inverter duty transformers). Exposure to

ERP systems

,

SCADA

, or

remote monitoring integration

. Knowledge of

energy efficiency standards

and latest industry trends.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?90,000.00 per month
