This position involves the design of electrical systems, preparation of electrical drawings using CAD software, management of material requirements, provision of technical support, troubleshooting, and overseeing commissioning activities. The role requires expertise in electrical system design with a focus on precision, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Key responsibilities
Electrical system design: Design electrical systems for low-tension (LT) and medium-voltage (MV) installations up to 150 kW, as well as generators up to 150 kVA. Design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Electrical drawing preparation: Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD based on Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) standards.
Supervision: Conduct site visits to supervise electrical system installation work.
Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues that arise during installation to ensure smooth project execution.
Submission and approval of drawings and design documents: Submit drawings and documents to the IRS, addressing review comments and updating documents for acceptance and approval.
Equipment selection: Select project-specific electrical equipment, ensuring compatibility and compliance with project requirements.
Control panel board design and commissioning: Oversee the commissioning of control panel boards and conduct thorough inspections to guarantee functionality and safety.
Requirements
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)

Experience:
Minimum of 2 year
of relevant experience for
degree holders
and a minimum of
3 years for diploma holders
. Experience in the marine field is a plus.
Technical Skills: Understanding and hands-on experience in designing electrical systems and preparing electrical drawings and documents that comply with Indian standards and the regulations of the state electrical inspectorate.
Supervisory License: A Class B electrical supervisory license is a plus.
Other Skills: Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team.
Salary Range:
?20,000 to ?30,000
per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
