Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities for Electrical Electrical Design Engineer for Bangalore & Mumbai: 1. Design electrical substations, switchyards, and transmission line works up to 110kV/220kV. 2. Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and specifications for substation and switchyard works. 3. Design and size power transformers and instrument transformers. 4. Size and select power cables and conductors. 5. Possess good knowledge of protection relays, settings, and coordination for substations and transformers. 6. Design substation earthing, earthing layout, and lightning protection. Overall, the Electrical Substation/Switchyard Designer is responsible for the design and preparation of all electrical components and systems related to substations and switchyards. This includes the design and sizing of transformers and instrument transformers, the selection and sizing of power cables and conductors, the design of substation earthing and lightning protection, and the preparation of drawings, specifications, and BOQs. They should also have a good understanding of protection relays, settings, and coordination for substations and transformers.
