About Clean Electric

Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.

Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well. The team comprises multiple IIT, IIM graduates and industry professionals and we are backed by some of the leading Indian VCs.

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

The role involves tasks including but not limited to -

Prepare and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and panel drawings for Li-ion battery systems and EV applications. Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings (AutoCAD, inventor) based on design inputs and technical specifications. Create detailed assembly drawings, interconnection diagrams, and terminal block layouts for battery modules and packs. Support the design of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, including busbars, contactors, fuses, relays, and sensors. Assist engineers in preparing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and ensure drawing consistency with component selections. Ensure all drawings comply with IEC / IS / automotive electrical standards and internal quality procedures. Update drawings based on engineering change requests (ECRs) and maintain version control. Coordinate with mechanical, thermal, and control system teams to ensure proper integration of electrical designs. Support prototype builds by providing drawing clarifications and as-built update.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. 2-5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in the battery, EV, or power systems industry (Li-ion experience preferred). Experience in EV battery pack design or ESS (Energy Storage System). Familiarity with 3D CAD for harness routing. Understanding of automotive standards. Basic knowledge of electrical testing and validation procedures for battery systems.
