The Electrical Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing and verifying quantity measurements, RA bills, subcontractor bills, reconciliation of material, and coordination with site & management teams for all electrical works in
residential construction sites
. The role requires strong technical knowledge of residential electrical systems and expertise in billing & documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Billing & Measurement Work
Prepare
Client RA Bills
for electrical works as per contract BOQ.
Prepare and verify
Subcontractor Bills
based on executed work.
Conduct
joint measurements
with site team and consultants.
Maintain measurement books (MB) with accurate quantities.
Ensure that billing is in line with drawings, site execution, and specifications.
2. Quantity Take-Off & Cost Control
Take off quantities from
GFC/IFC drawings
for residential buildings.
Prepare material requirement sheets and consumption reports.
Compare
planned vs actual
consumption and highlight deviations.
Assist in cost tracking and project financial monitoring.
Lifts power wiring & machine room
Basement, parking & lobby lighting
Street lighting, landscape lighting
HT/LT systems - transformer, RMU, DG set
LT panels, capacitor bank
Earthing pits, cable trays, bus ducts
C. ELV / Low Voltage Systems
CCTV, Video Door Phone
Access Control
Fire Alarm System
Networking & telephone systems
Public Address System (if applicable)
4. Documentation & Coordination
Prepare BOQ comparison, deviation statements, and extra item reports.
Maintain all records of drawings, approvals, changes, and revisions.
Coordinate with
Project Manager, Site Engineers, Contractors, and Consultants
.
Prepare and update progress reports for management.
5. Site Verification & Quality Compliance
Conduct site visits for quantity verification and progress review.
Ensure billing quantities match actual executed works.
Highlight discrepancies in site execution vs drawings.
Ensure all electrical work complies with IS standards and project specifications.
6. Contracts & Commercial Support
Assist in preparing new rates for non-BOQ items.
Prepare supporting documents for
variation claims
.
Provide billing data for tendering and procurement teams.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems.
Excellent billing, estimation, and quantity take-off skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing software.
Good understanding of contract conditions and BOQ formats.
Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
