Position Overview:
The Electrical Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of all electrical systems at the plant or site. This role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, project supervision, team coordination, and regular reporting.
--Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Operations
Perform daily inspection, testing, and monitoring of electrical equipment.
Handle inverters, LT/HT panels, ACDB/DCDB, transformers, motors, MCB, MFM, SPD, isolators, and earthing systems.
Troubleshoot faults such as voltage imbalance, current issues, tripping, and communication errors.
Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
Respond quickly to breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
2. Project Execution
Supervise new electrical installations, wiring layouts, cable sizing, panel connections, and conduit work.
Prepare string reports, VOC/ISC testing sheets, and inverter performance data for solar projects.
Guide technicians and contractors during project work.
3. Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards (IS/IEC).
Implement LOTO procedures.
Monitor earthing and lightning protection systems.
Support site safety audits and risk assessments.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly electrical reports.
Prepare inverter performance logs, voltage/current logs, and maintenance records.
Maintain inventory, issue material requests, and coordinate with vendors.
5. Team Coordination
Assign tasks and supervise electricians/technicians.
Provide technical training and support to the team.
Coordinate with operations, civil, IT, and management departments.

Skills Required
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, cables, breakers, SPDs, relays, and panels.
Ability to read single-line diagrams (SLDs) and perform load/cable calculations.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical faults.
Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and report preparation.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience
Diploma & B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
1-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or solar operations .
Knowledge of preventive maintenance and industrial safety practices is preferred.
