The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical control panels, preparing electrical schematics, and developing PLC-based programs for automation systems. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical design standards, industrial controls, wiring, troubleshooting, and programming logic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Panel Design
Design LT electrical control panels, power distribution panels, and automation panels.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD / E-PLAN (if applicable).
Select components such as contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, transformers, drives, SMPS, PLC modules, and sensors.
Ensure compliance with IS/IEC electrical standards and safety norms.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and coordinate with the Purchase department for procurement.
2. Programming & Automation
Develop, test, and troubleshoot
PLC programs
, HMI screens, and SCADA logic.
Integrate sensors, actuators, VFDs, safety switches, and control devices.
Modify existing programs for process improvements or machine upgrades.
Perform system testing, calibration, and commissioning at the factory and customer site.
3. Production & Installation Support
Guide technicians during panel assembly, wiring, routing, and termination.
Conduct continuity checks, load tests, and electrical quality inspections.
Support machine installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
Prepare documentation: wiring diagrams, manuals, and test reports.
4. Safety & Compliance
Ensure electrical systems meet safety, grounding, and protection standards.
Maintain EHS protocols and supervise safe electrical practices on shop floor.
Identify and rectify electrical faults, short circuits, and overload issues.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Interact with design, production, project, and purchase teams for project execution.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers when required.
Maintain records of project wiring diagrams, program backups, and version control.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (DEEE / BE Electrical / B.Tech Electrical).
Experience:
2-6 years in electrical panel design, PLC programming, or industrial automation.
Technical Expertise:
Electrical panel design & drafting
PLC programming (Allen Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi / Delta--modify as per your requirement)
HMI/SCADA development
VFD wiring and tuning
Troubleshooting of industrial electrical circuits
Strong technical understanding of industrial electrical systems.
Analytical problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Good communication and documentation skills.
