Position Summary:
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Electrical engineering Manager, the Electrical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for Performing Electrical simulation & analysis for various BorgWarner complex Electronics Controllers and Power Electronics production projects to meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirement in a fast-paced start-up like environment within a Fortune 500 Organization.
Educational Qualifications : M.E/M.Tech in Power Electronics / Automotive Electronics / Electrical
Experience: 3-5 years of work experience in Worst Case Analysis, Circuit Analysis/Simulation, DFMEA, Signal and Power Integrity analysis. Experience in Automotive electronics is a plus.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Worst Case Analysis, simulation and/or Signal and Power Integrity analysis for given design circuit blocks for various design parameters.
- Improve the capability of BorgWarner\xe2\x80\x99s Electrical analysis and simulation tools and methodologies.
- Conduct electrical design analysis reviews and bring-up design risks involved at early stage in design cycle.
- Create component models and maintain modeling libraries.
- Verify design feasibility and contribute in business win for BorgWarner.
- Effective contribution in proactive risk assessment and mitigation by providing design improvements to the concerned product design team.
Major Job Qualifications / Skills
- Strong electrical circuit and component knowledge in Embedded hardware/Power Electronics/High speed areas.
- Hands-on experience on Worst-case statistical analysis for EE circuits and systems, DC, AC, Transient, Electro-thermal, multi-domain simulations
- Efficient in using tools like PSpice, Saber, MathCAD, Hyperlinx (SI/PI), Medini.
- Expertise on Modeling & Simulation for Electronic Circuits/system including Semiconductor and discrete devices
- Design Automation Skills for Electrical CAE tool development and integration like programming and Scripting.
- Knowledge on Simulation/HDL Languages like SPICE, VHDL-AMS, MAST, IBIS.
- Knowledge of component physics and/or statistical analysis techniques would be an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of various component tolerances, de-ratings, parameter interdependencies
- Knowledge on Mentor Expedition tool flow \xe2\x80\x93 DxDesigner, PCB Layout, DMS would be an advantage.
- Must have Strong analytical and Problem solving skills.
- Good Communication Skills.
