Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and EIA-approved QA/QC Head to lead our quality assurance and control operations across seafood processing and export activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet national and international quality and safety standards, with a strong focus on compliance with EIC/EIA norms. This role is critical to maintaining our product integrity, export viability, and overall brand reputation in the global seafood market.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the QA/QC department and ensure implementation of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, BRC, FSSAI, and EIC/EIA standards. Ensure regulatory compliance with EIA-approved protocols and maintain relevant documentation for audits. Oversee quality checks during procurement, processing, packing, and cold chain logistics. Conduct internal audits and prepare for third-party inspections and audits (EIA, MPEDA, BRC, customer audits). Implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) for non-conformities and customer complaints. Develop SOPs and ensure training and awareness among staff for quality standards and hygiene practices. Supervise microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic testing of raw materials and finished goods. Maintain traceability and batch control for all products shipped domestically and internationally. Coordinate with production, procurement, and export teams to align on quality goals and regulatory needs. Manage laboratory operations, documentation, and data analysis for continuous improvement in product quality.

Key Requirements:

Education:

M.Sc./B.Tech in Fisheries Science.

Certifications:

EIA Approval mandatory.

Experience:

5-8 years of experience in QA/QC roles in the fisheries or seafood export industry. In-depth knowledge of seafood processing operations and quality challenges in aquaculture and marine products. Strong understanding of export standards and regulatory requirements of EU, US, and Middle East markets. Proficiency in managing audits, document control, traceability systems, and staff training. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
