Job Description

:

• Plan the daily water treatment system activity and raw water availability
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and break down maintenance with Engineering Dept & service provider.
• Implementation of the company's Environmental Management System (EMS), including writing and review of associated procedures.
• Coordinate with commercial department for arranging the chemicals & maintenance materials for treatment activity
• Creating performance driven safety culture among service provider team members
• Management of the audit programme of the EMS to ISO14001 standards.
• Liaison with the ISO14001 external auditor for the EMS.
• Regular sampling and testing of all environmental monitoring points such as water, Piezo well, drains, effluent discharge etc to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
• Analyzing water samples, with subsequent reporting of the results to either internal or external customers.
• Ensuring all cooling tower water quality coordinate production department.
• Compilation of relevant technical documentation, permits and management reports.
• Managing specialist contractors and advising Operations Staff to ensure regular monitoring of the boiler water and steam chemistry to ensure optimum corrosion performance.
• Monitor and advise on the performance of the water treatment plant.
• Generate MIS on different Key Performance Indicators of Production activity and review with Management and implement action points arising out of the review
• Implement various CEP programmes in coordination with cross functional departments
• Efficiency monitoring and Environment compliance of ETP, RO & DM plant
• Daily review the Log Sheets of water treatment systems
• Disposal of Hazardous Waste to TNPCB approved recyclers
• Conducting Environment Day & Water Day Celebration functions to create the mass awareness to employees with various competitions conducted and extend coordination to all other functions at the unit
