Location : Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai / Kolkata / Gurgaon Position Level: PL10 Organization: Siemens Limited: Smart Infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 RSS APAC Mode of employment: Full time only Functional Area: EHS, Project Management. What are my responsibilities? \xc2\xa7 Ensure planning and implementation of all project-related activities and measures regarding EHS matters for multiple project sites. \xc2\xa7 Focus on ensuring that internal and external EHS requirements are complied with and on laying down protective measures to prevent accidents. Guides, instructs and supports the site safety officers to ensure adherence to EHS processes at site by the site team including sub-contractor. \xc2\xa7 Coordinates the various Contractors operating within the project site and determine & evaluate risk areas and drive implementation of mitigation measures. \xc2\xa7 Draw up the site specific EHS plans in line with the requirements of the project and ensures that it is implemented. \xc2\xa7 Assist the Project Manager with planning, supervision, monitoring and reporting on EHS matters in all phases of the project. \xc2\xa7 Plans and maintains in coordination with Regional EHS officer adequate and competent EHS resources at sites to execute the defined scope of work safely. \xc2\xa7 Reports to Regional EHS officer and Regional Manager Operations for EHS related topics What do I need to qualify for this job? Skills and Experience: \xc2\xa7 5-10 years of professional experience as occupational safety officer on construction sites \xc2\xa7 Knowledge on environmental protection, emergency management and fire prevention \xc2\xa7 Knowledge of planning and tendering for collectively managed EHS/safety equipment \xc2\xa7 Experience in different projects with an interdisciplinary approach, and technical supervision of internal and external employees \xc2\xa7 Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team. Cross-disciplinary thinking \xc2\xa7 Decision-making skills and assertiveness. \xc2\xa7 Initiative and results-orientation. \xc2\xa7 Willingness to move across India according to the Projects \xc2\xa7 Commitment to Siemens values and to ethical principles Education & Training: \xc2\xa7 Degree / Diploma in Engineering / Science and EHS related recognized qualifications / Certificates (e.g., ADIS, NEBOSH Diploma). \xc2\xa7 Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system and implementing/ managing management system elements.
