We are seeking an EHR Migration Project Manager to oversee and execute the transition from a Cerner-based EHR to Epic. The role involves coordinating clinical, data, and IT teams; managing migration milestones; ensuring compliance with non-functional and security requirements; and driving post-go-live stabilization.



Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end migration execution, including planning, resource allocation, risk tracking, and client coordination. Oversee data extraction, transformation, and validation from Cerner systems to Epic-compatible formats. Coordinate with Epic implementation teams to ensure integration and testing of migrated data. Manage stakeholder communication across IT, clinical, operations, and vendor teams. Monitor and report progress against project timelines, budgets, and KPIs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational security standards throughout the migration process. Support creation and delivery of training materials and change management programs for end users. Facilitate post-go-live hypercare support, incident triage, and process stabilization. Collaborate with compliance and architecture teams to ensure all non-functional and security requirements are satisfied.


Requirements

8+ years of healthcare IT project management experience (EHR/Epic/Cerner preferred). Demonstrated experience in Cerner data migration or Epic implementation projects. Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient data models, and healthcare operations. Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, CDA, and related interoperability standards. Excellent documentation, leadership, and communication skills. * PMP, PRINCE2, or Epic Project Manager certification is a plus.
