We are looking for an EHR Data Migration & Integration Specialist to execute the extraction, transformation, validation, and archival of Cerner data into Epic systems. The specialist will work closely with database, interoperability, and compliance teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and auditability of all migrated data.



Key Responsibilities

Perform data extraction from Cerner Millennium or related systems using approved tools and methods. Design and execute ETL processes to migrate structured and unstructured data into Epic-compatible repositories. Implement data validation and reconciliation strategies to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support longitudinal patient record preservation and cross-patient data mapping in the new system. Ensure auditability and traceability of all migration steps, maintaining required documentation for compliance. Collaborate with IT security to enforce access controls, encryption, and PHI protection during migration. Participate in integration testing with Epic modules and downstream systems. Support the development of archival repositories for legacy data retention. Provide operational handover documentation for ongoing support and maintenance teams.


Requirements

6+ years in data migration, data integration, or interoperability within healthcare IT. Hands-on experience with Cerner data structures and familiarity with Epic Clarity or Caboodle data models. Strong SQL/ETL skills (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or similar). Knowledge of HL7, FHIR APIs, CCD/CCDA, and related healthcare data exchange standards. Experience working under HIPAA and HITECH data privacy regulations. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Prior involvement in EHR archival or decommissioning projects is a plus.
