Job Description

Patient Preparation

: Explain the procedure to patients, address concerns, and position them comfortably for the test.

Equipment Setup

: Apply electrodes to the patient's scalp and set up the EEG equipment.

Test Performance

: Operate the EEG machine to record brainwave activity, monitor the patient for safety, and make adjustments to equipment as needed.

Data Quality

: Monitor results in real-time and recognize abnormalities or artifacts in the recordings.

Equipment Maintenance

: Perform routine calibrations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues with the equipment.

Documentation

: Maintain detailed records of test results, equipment maintenance, and patient information, ensuring confidentiality.

Physician Collaboration

: Communicate with physicians regarding diagnostic findings and assist in preparing the test for physician interpretation.
