Job Description

An Education Counsellor in a sales department guides potential students, assesses their needs, and sells relevant educational programs by converting leads into enrollments through both inbound (responding to student inquiries) and outbound (prospecting new leads) activities. Key responsibilities include providing program information, understanding student goals to recommend suitable courses, handling applications, maintaining CRM records, achieving sales targets, and collaborating with marketing. Essential qualifications include excellent communication skills, a target-driven mindset, and a proven ability to generate sales. Key Responsibilities

Inbound & Outbound Lead Management:

Respond to inbound inquiries from prospective students and conduct outbound calls/emails to nurture leads and identify new sales opportunities.

Student Needs Assessment:

Understand and identify the individual needs, career aspirations, and learning styles of prospective students.

Program Recommendation:

Advise students on suitable educational programs, certifications, and courses that align with their goals and help them achieve their career outcomes.

Sales & Enrollment:

Convert leads into enrollments through effective sales techniques, consultative discussions, and by addressing any concerns or questions.

Application & Enrollment Support:

Assist students with the application process, including documentation, submission, and understanding enrollment procedures.

Product Knowledge:

Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of all offered programs, course features, pricing, and the global value of certifications.

CRM Management:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all student interactions, sales activities, and progress in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Sales Targets & Reporting:

Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.

Collaboration:

Work with the marketing team to generate quality leads and improve student acquisition strategies.

Follow-up:

Conduct timely follow-ups with students to ensure engagement and provide ongoing support.
Key Qualifications & Skills

Sales Experience:

Proven experience in a target-driven sales environment, ideally in the education or training sector.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively build relationships and present information persuasively.

Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to empathize with students and parents to build trust and rapport.

Sales Skills:

Strong skills in needs-based selling, lead conversion, and closing sales.

CRM Proficiency:

Familiarity and proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.

Self-Motivation:

A highly self-motivated and goal-oriented approach to work.

Product Knowledge:

Ability to quickly learn and master information about educational products and services.
