Education Immigration Counsellor / Study Abroad Counsellor

Job Summary

The Education Immigration Counsellor advises students on overseas education opportunities and manages their study visa applications. The role involves academic counselling, course and country selection, admission processing, visa guidance, and ongoing student support while ensuring compliance with immigration regulations.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities Student Counselling & Guidance

Counsel students on study abroad options based on academic background, career goals, and financial capacity Provide accurate information about universities, colleges, courses, intakes, and eligibility requirements Guide students on country-specific education systems (Canada, Australia, UK, USA, New Zealand, Europe, etc.)
Admissions Processing

Assist students with university/college applications and documentation Prepare and submit admission applications to partner institutions Track offer letters, conditional/unconditional admissions, and enrolment deadlines
Visa & Immigration Guidance

Guide students through the study visa process and documentation requirements Coordinate with visa processing officers for application submission Ensure compliance with immigration rules and genuine student requirements
Documentation & Compliance

Review academic, financial, and personal documents for accuracy Prepare Statements of Purpose (SOPs), study plans, and visa forms Ensure all information submitted is truthful and compliant
Client Relationship Management

Maintain regular communication with students and parents Provide updates on application status, timelines, and next steps Handle queries, concerns, and post-visa guidance professionally
Marketing & Business Development Support

Participate in seminars, education fairs, webinars, and promotional events Convert inquiries into enrollments and achieve counselling targets Maintain CRM records of leads, applications, and conversions
Post-Visa & Pre-Departure Support

Assist students with tuition fee payment guidance and accommodation options Provide pre-departure orientation and travel guidance Support students with post-arrival queries if required
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Education, Business, or related field preferred) Experience in education counselling or immigration services (1-3 years preferred) Strong knowledge of international education systems and visa processes Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills Sales and target-oriented mindset with ethical counselling approach
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Student enrolment and visa success rate Lead-to-conversion ratio Client satisfaction and referrals Accuracy and compliance of applications
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
