Summary
The Education Consultant - Malaysian Universities is responsible for guiding and supporting students through the process of selecting and securing admission to Malaysian higher education institutions. The role involves providing accurate information on courses, universities, application requirements, scholarships, and visa procedures, while maintaining strong partnerships with Malaysian universities and ensuring high conversion and satisfaction rates.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling & Admissions
Provide professional counselling and career guidance to students seeking education opportunities in Malaysia.
Assess students' academic profiles, preferences, and financial background to recommend suitable universities and courses.
Guide students through the complete admission process -- from application submission to offer acceptance and visa processing.
Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions (in person or virtual).
University Coordination
Maintain regular communication with Malaysian universities, representatives, and partner institutions.
Stay updated with program offerings, admission requirements, deadlines, and scholarship options.
Coordinate university visits, webinars, and promotional events.
Support collaboration initiatives between the company and partner universities.
Documentation & Compliance
Verify and review students' academic and financial documents for accuracy and authenticity.
Ensure all applications meet university and visa compliance standards.
Maintain accurate student records and update CRM systems regularly.
Marketing & Business Development
Contribute to student recruitment campaigns, fairs, and digital marketing initiatives targeting Malaysian education.
Develop promotional materials and informational content relevant to Malaysian universities.
Support in building institutional partnerships and expanding the company's Malaysian network.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum
1-4 years of experience
as an Education Consultant, preferably with a focus on Malaysian universities.
Strong understanding of Malaysian higher education systems, visa processes, and entry requirements.
Proven record of successful student placements in Malaysian institutions.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent counselling and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong relationship management and networking abilities.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational efficiency.
Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet targets.
Multilingual abilities (English, Malay, or regional languages) will be an advantage.
