Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an EDM Operator (Sinker) based in Chennai. The EDM Operator (Sinker) will operate and maintain electrical discharge machines (EDM), interpret drawings for complex designs, monitor operational parameters for accuracy and quality, and ensure adherence to safety standards. The individual will also maintain equipment, perform troubleshooting, and collaborate with team members to meet manufacturing goals efficiently.

Qualifications

At least 2-3 years of experience with operating and maintaining die-sinking EDM machines (Mandatory Minimum). Experience working on Sodick Sinker EDM machines (Preferred). A Diploma in relevant fields such as mechanical engineering or tool and die technology. (Mandatory Minimum). Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling. Problem-solving abilities to address machine troubleshooting and quality assurance issues. Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and maintain precision in output. Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines in manufacturing environments. Basic computer skills and knowledge of EDM programming (preferred) Ability to speak and understand Tamil (Mandatory).
