KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Trained and supported by the Reporting Manager and Program Manager. Works to understand and maintain the publishing plan and work collaboratively with product management on assigned responsibilities. Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external (i.e., authors, customers) stakeholders. Clarifies requests from stakeholders ensuring clear understanding of needs. Manages time and priorities effectively including, but not limited to meetings, internal work assignments provided by the Portfolio Manager, and Senior Editor. Reports directly to the Senior Editor. Administrative/Editorial Support (35 percent) Work in the internal Pearson system to set-up and maintain project records and produce reports as required. Be responsible to prepare contracts request ISBNs process payments to authors, reviewers and vendors. Update and correct project metadata in the appropriate internal system and organize/perform any audits of metadata or products within our internal systems or on external sites as needed. Handle author queries, including queries concerning schedules, payments, tax forms, royalties Attend weekly status meeting with PM, maintain meeting agendas, organize/archive meeting records and follow up on any outstanding queries, as directed Project Management (65 percent) Will work with the editors and US Product and Program Management team to understand the list responsibilities Will work to support product manager on all list responsibilities and effectively track deliverables with internal and external stakeholders and vendors. Will work to review and resolve issues as may be needed and advised. Will support Pearson education events/initiatives and manage timelines and deliverables with internal and external stake holders and vendors. Communicates project status and dependencies clearly to reporting manager and product manager to ensure project delivery objective. Organize and analyze revenue, sales and market data to create insightful reports that then drive decision-making for the product planning process. Create reports to monitor and assess sales, revenue, user data through the year. Manage technical review process, including recruiting reviewers, establishing review schedules, monitoring progress against schedules, managing the delivery of reviews to authors, working with authors to resolve any issues, and processing payments for reviewers Prepare content for delivery to the Production department, including preparing all production forms and documenting Rights & Permissions status. Work with authors to ensure that they are aware of their schedules and key deliverables, track author progress against these, generate reports showing progress against milestones and share with PM. Communicate effectively with internal (PM, Rights & Permissions, Production, Marketing, Royalties teams) and external (i.e. authors, vendors, customers, partners) stakeholders. Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required. This position requires a Bachelor\'s degree. 2 - 3 years of work experience, preferably in editorial, product development and/or production roles. Excellent and persuasive written and verbal communication skills. Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, build effective agendas and lead successful and efficient meetings. Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and work in teams with a high degree of functional diversity. Prior experience in digital product development/management or project management will be an advantage. Proficiency with PC & MAC, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
