English Editor Job Location - Delhi The Role & Responsibilities: English Editor at Chegg should be a highly motivated, creative, and patient individual with the right blend of subject knowledge and English language skills. The responsibilities of an English Editor are essentially (but not limited to) authoring, reviewing, proofreading high-quality content, and honing the presentation and language skills of the in-house subject matter experts, who develop student-friendly content. The editor would be expected to conduct training sessions for SMEs to enhance their writing skill and other language-learning skills. The Editor must have a hawk\'s-eye in identifying errors with meticulous attention to detail in matters of editing, presentation, or style of the content. In addition, the Editor should be able to evaluate content from a holistic perspective and make necessary edits to maintain the overall quality of the assignments for our international student base. The English Editor should be able to provide timely and constructive feedback to the experts. Further, the Editor is expected to be proficient in simple designing tools like Canva and be creative enough to design posters, flyers, banners, mailers etc. as per requirement. As a team player, the Editor should merge ideas with Co-Editors and have an attitude for knowledge sharing and gaining. Requirements: A postgraduate in English with high proficiency in all aspects of the English Language, possessing lateral thinking and creativity skills. Experience of 1 to 3 years on a similar platform is needed. Prior experience in Academic Hubs would be an added advantage. Should have excellent command over the English language with an exceptional grasp of all the aspects of English grammar. Hands-on experience in the publishing sector is preferred, with proven ability in copy editing and proofreading. Knowledge of style guides and editorial guidelines would be an added advantage. Must be confident and skilful in conducting training sessions on various topics related to English grammatical concepts, communication skills, presentation skills etc., for in- house SMEs. Knowledge of WordPress, and Image Designing Tools like Canva, Photoshop etc. is required. A thorough knowledge of MS tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is essential. Quick learner, passionate, team player, and committed to work.
