Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Editor / Proofreader to review, edit, and refine multi-format content for public communication and cyber awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all materials while adhering to editorial and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, readability, and style consistency. 2. Ensure content is clear, concise, engaging, and aligned with organizational guidelines.

3. Fact-check information and verify sources to maintain high content credibility.

4. Collaborate with writers, designers, and communication teams to enhance quality.

5. Edit articles, advisories, handbooks, scripts, posters, infographics, and social media posts.

6. Maintain uniform language and tone across cybercrime awareness and digital safety campaigns.

7. Apply editorial standards such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

2. Preferred certifications- Certified Editor (CE), Technical Editor Certification, Digital Content Editing Certification.

Skills Required:

1. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in editing, proofreading, or content quality control.

2. Experience in Technical or cybersecurity-related content, Public communication or digital safety awareness, Government, NGO, or outreach campaigns, Editing multi-format content (web, print, social media).

3. Experience with editing tools and platforms such as Google Docs, MS Word (Track Changes), Grammarly, and CMS systems.

4. Familiarity with editorial standards (AP Stylebook/Chicago Manual of Style).
