S&P Global Commodity Insights Title : Insight Editor The Team: We a global but tight-knit team spread across India, Singapore, UK, US and, soon, Mexico. We partner with colleagues from many different teams to elevate Commodity Insights\' original, expert content and give our audience a rich, multimedia experience. The Impact: Amplify our editors\' and analysts\' insights to reach a large global audience. Tell compelling stories about energy and raw materials, translating complex ideas into engaging content read and valued by the commodity sector C-suite. What\'s in it for you: You will sit within the Digital Content Team and work closely with the Senior Insight Editor to commission, edit, publish, enhance and amplify content for the Insight blog and award-winning. Commodity Insights Magazine, a glossy print and digital publication that supports S&P Global Commodity Insights\' major conferences. . Winner, 2020, Excellence in Magazine Design - Global/Regional As Insight Editor, you will perform a vital coordinating role for the content group and work closely with marketing and other commercial functions to align free content strategy with wider business goals. You\'ll gain valuable experience in editing, content strategy and editorial project management, along with exposure to the large community of subject matter experts at S&P Global Commodity Insights and other S&P Global divisions. You\'ll have a chance learn about markets ranging from crude oil to battery metals to biofuels and delve deep into some of the biggest issues dominating the news cycle today. Responsibilities: Assist Senior Insight Editor with: editorial content planning and commissioning assessing pitches editing and proofreading content Project-manage magazine editions, co-ordinating with production and design teams and editorial contributors to ensure timelines are adhered to Promote blog and magazine content via social media Work closely with digital and desk editors, communications and marketing to ensure content is delivered and promoted in a timely way and supports business strategic priorities Track blog and magazine performance using (for example) Google Analytics, feeding into digital content team reporting on content performance Suggest ideas for topics to cover, new feature series, concepts and formats, including researching innovations in digital/interactive presentation and social media Network across S&P Global Commodity Insights, and also with other S&P Global divisions, to ensure Insight content represents the full breadth and depth of our knowledge and products Foster collaboration and innovative content creation, spotting opportunities to maximize impact by suggesting complementary angles or resources Basic qualifications: 2-3 years\' journalism/editing experience gained in a newsroom, business-related publication or similar Strong copy editing and feature writing skills, with an instinct for topical, big-picture angles Basic HTML knowledge and experience with content management systems Experience with social media tools, including third-party publishing and monitoring platforms Understanding of basic economic concepts, interest in commodity markets, energy and raw materials Attention to detail, able to consistently spot inaccurate information, apply a style guide, and ensure coherence across broader collections of content Strong communication skills, problem-solving and critical thinking ability Ability to work independently Enthusiasm for continuous professional development in digital media skills Preferred qualifications: Digital publishing experience including data journalism, data visualization, social media, with a track record of creating impactful digital pieces Experience in print and/or digital magazine publishing Editorial project management experience Experience of using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar to track content performance Understanding of SEO About Company Statement: S&P Global delivers essential intelligence that powers decision making.
