Job Summary

The Economics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned instruction in economics, fostering students' understanding of economic principles, critical thinking, and real-world application. The role emphasizes analytical skills, data interpretation, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver lessons covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economics Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives Use real-world examples, case studies, and current events to enhance learning Assess student performance through tests, projects, presentations, and class participation Provide timely feedback and academic support to students Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress Integrate technology and data tools into instruction where appropriate Manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive learning environment Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school activities
