Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a results-driven and analytical E-commerce Category Manager to oversee and optimize the performance of a specific product category. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, market trends, and consumer behavior. This role is responsible for the end-to-end category management process, including strategy development, product assortment, vendor relations, pricing, and promotions. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets. Analyze market trends, consumer data, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Manage the product assortment and lifecycle for the assigned category, including new product launches and the discontinuation of underperforming items. Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support. Oversee pricing strategies and promotional plans to optimize profitability and maintain a competitive market position. Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and product teams to enhance product visibility, improve customer experience, and ensure seamless execution of plans. Prepare and present regular category performance reports to senior management. Ensure accurate and compelling product content, including listings, descriptions, and images, to improve conversion rates.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the E-commerce industry preferably E-commerce startups, merchandising, or a similar role within an e-commerce or retail environment. Proven track record of driving sales and profitability within a product category. Expertise in working with e-commerce platforms. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make informed, data-driven decisions. Experience with vendor management and building collaborative business relationships.
