The opportunity

The E-commerce Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within an e-commerce environment. This role involves analysing and translating business requirements into actionable insights, ensuring the successful development and delivery of e-commerce solutions.

How you\'ll spend your day

Requirement Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for e-commerce projects.

  • Data Analysis:
Conduct data analysis to understand user behaviour, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
  • User Story Refinement:
Translate business requirements into clear and detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Process Mapping:
Map out existing and future business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Functional Specification Development:
Work closely with development teams to create detailed functional specifications based on business requirements.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and the development team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
  • Data Modelling:
Collaborate with data architects to create data models that support the e-commerce business requirements.
  • Quality Assurance Support:
Work with QA teams to approve their test cases based on business requirement.
  • Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and analyse the performance of e-commerce platforms, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Your experience and qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an e-commerce setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and technologies.
  • Proficiency in creating user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
  • Experience with data analysis and modelling.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in e-commerce.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
