Job Title: E-commerce Accountant

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee financial transactions related to e-commerce platforms, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and compliance. The role requires expertise in handling online marketplace settlements, payment gateways, and e-commerce-related accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record daily sales transactions from e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, etc.).

Post journal entries and maintain general ledgers.

Handle accounts receivable and payable related to e-commerce sales and vendors.

Reconciliation

Reconcile payment gateway settlements (Razorpay, PayU, Paytm, etc.).

Match marketplace settlements with sales invoices and commission charges.

Resolve discrepancies in returns, refunds, and deductions.

Compliance & Reporting

Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances related to online sales.

Generate periodic MIS reports (sales, expenses, profitability).

Support statutory and internal audits with required data.

E-commerce Operations Support

Track discounts, promotions, and commission charges applied by marketplaces.

Monitor inventory movements related to e-commerce sales.

Coordinate with the operations and sales team for transaction clarifications.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.

Hands-on experience with Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks or other ERP systems.

Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.

Understanding of e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.Com / M.Com

2-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in e-commerce accounting.

Familiarity with GST compliance related to e-commerce is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹9,333.48 - ₹26,521.39 per month
