Job Summary: Nalanda Vidyaniketan is seeking a creative and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our extracurricular activities (ECA) program. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various Western dance styles and have a passion for inspiring students of all ages and abilities. As a Western Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and leading dance classes, choreographing routines for school events, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Design Dance Curriculum: Develop a comprehensive Western dance curriculum suitable for a range of age groups and skill levels.

• Teach Dance Classes: Lead engaging dance classes that cover different Western dance styles, including hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and street dance.

• Choreograph Performances: Create and direct dance routines for school events, competitions, and other performances.

• Foster Creativity and Teamwork: Encourage students to express creativity, build confidence, and work collaboratively with their peers.

• Provide Individual Feedback: Offer personalized guidance to students to help them improve their dance skills and technique.

• Collaborate with School Staff: Work with other teachers and staff to integrate dance into school activities and programs.

• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the dance studio is clean, organized, and complies with safety regulations.

• Stay Current with Trends: Keep up to date with the latest trends in Western dance to continuously enhance the dance program.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Western Dance Teacher or Dance Instructor.

• Skills: Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different skill levels.

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Creativity: Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances.

• Organization: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Certifications in dance instruction or teaching methods.

• Experience in Competitive Dance: Experience coaching or participating in competitive dance.

• Child Development Knowledge: Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
