Description Deputy General Manager: CAE simulations (Passive Safety) Lead the CAE simulation vertical for a Business Unit in M ercedes B enz R esearch and D evelopment I ndia Pvt Ltd. Further establishment of development capability with partner in the group. Establishment of complete CAE solution for improved vehicle performance enabling fulfillment of development targets. Validation of results with required testing activities. Management motivation and further development of employees, optimization of costs structure, minimization of personal fluctuation. Experience : 18+ yrs Education : Master\'s and or PhD from IIT/NIT/IISC in Mechanical Engineering/Material Science/Applied Mechanics/Thermal Engineering Key Skills : Strong Project Management and Leadership Skills, Full Vehicle Development from CAE perspective encompassing functional evaluations in the area of Crash, Passive Safety,Complete knowledge of Regulations and NCAP, Experience in Vehicle Testing(Preparation, Execution and Posttest analysis), International experience, German Language Proficiency, Strong networking skills, Strong Team Building Experience Job Responsibilities: Strategy - Definition of the team strategy in alignment to the department and company strategy - Contribution to the definition of the strategy of the dept. and the center as well - Establishment of topics with self-responsibility in the field of simulation and local requirements. - Synchronizing the strategy with partners and concerned groups in Mercedes Benz AG Projects and Quality - Acquiring projects in line with the strategy and in line with financial framework. - Ensure the quality and timeline (milestone) in projects - in agreement with the Mercedes-Development-System (MDS) and Digital Prototype process (DPT) - Optimize the use of available resources to achieve optimal cost and offer best hourly rates to rest of Mercedes Benz - Ensure the quality management system with team. - Ensure support for conducting internal audits and supporting projects Personnel - Ensure the knowhow level in team required for successful completion of projects. - Motivation of team members - Development of team members - Conduct recruitment to cover needs - Manage and control personnel fluctuation Qualifications Deputy General Manager: CAE simulations (Passive Safety) Lead the CAE simulation vertical for a Business Unit in M ercedes B enz R esearch and D evelopment I ndia Pvt Ltd.
