Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Understand and comprehensively review customer requirements for equipment/plant control and automation.
  
• In-line with customer expectations for control/automation logic received as inputs, develop customized PLC programs for customer projects (by modifying existing programs and/or creating new programs/functions) using Ladder / FBD / ST programming languages.i.e. Siemens TIA and similarly for Allen Bradly.
  
• Conduct thorough testing of software on simulators. Simulations will be based on Siemens PLC and same for Allen Bradly.
  
• Create detailed documentation for the designed software (programs), ensuring clarity and completeness.
  
• Collaborate and work closely with the Automation and Controls team, aligning with customer\xe2\x80\x99s software development process.

Requirements

Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualification - Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation & Controls)
  
• 3 to 8 Years of Experience in PLC and HMI/SCADA development for automated conveyor and material handling systems or equipment.
  
• Good skills in Ladder / FBD / ST programming languages with hands-on experience on for HMI/SCADA & PLC development.
  
• Experience on Siemens Simatic S7 series and/or Allen Bradly PLCs such as Control Logix and Compact Logix is preferred.
  
• SCADA and HMI development using Siemens and Allen Breadly.
  
• Logical thinking approach towards problem solving and troubleshooting.
  
• Industrial networking experience (Ethernet, profinet, etc).
  
• Experience in using industrial communication protocols(Profinet, profibus, etc).
  
• Knowledge of digital input/output connections and various analog inputs.
  
• Ability to understand electrical schematic, instrumentation and controls, etc.
  
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills - Ability to debug PLC code, wiring issues, etc.
  
• Experience on PLC program testing using simulators - Exposure to SAT and FAT.
  
• Team player, good communication skills.
