Job Description

The Textile Handblock & Printing Dyeing Production Manager will oversee the complete production process of handblock printing and dyeing operations. The role requires ensuring quality, timely delivery, process optimization, and effective coordination between design, sampling, production, and finishing teams. The candidate must have hands-on experience with traditional and modern printing techniques, fabric dyeing, and color matching processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily printing and dyeing production activities. Allocate work to artisans, printers, and dyers as per production targets. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.

2. Process & Quality Control

Supervise handblock printing, screen printing, and dyeing processes. Maintain color consistency, fabric quality, and design accuracy. Conduct in-process inspections to meet buyer specifications and quality standards.

3. Material & Inventory Management

Coordinate with the store for dyes, chemicals, blocks, screens, and fabric issuance. Monitor consumption and wastage to ensure cost control.

4. Team Management

Lead and train printers, dyers, and helpers to improve skill and productivity. Ensure safety, discipline, and hygiene in the production area.

5. Coordination & Communication

Collaborate with design, merchandising, and sampling teams for production feasibility and color approvals. Update management with daily production reports and output data.

6. Process Improvement

Implement new techniques for color fixation, dyeing efficiency, and print precision. Troubleshoot production issues and suggest process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology or equivalent. 5-10 years of experience in handblock printing and dyeing production. Strong knowledge of natural, reactive, and pigment dyes. Familiarity with traditional Rajasthani handblock printing techniques is preferred.
