ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Title: Full Stack Developer - WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API Integration)

Experience Level

3-7 years in software development with at least 2-3 years focused on messaging or conversational platform integrations.

About the Role

We seek a Full Stack Developer skilled in WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API) integration. You'll independently build communication solutions linking WhatsApp to CRMs, ERPs, web, and mobile apps, working on both backend and frontend to support seamless customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1.

WhatsApp API Expertise (Mandatory):

Deep hands-on experience with Meta/WhatsApp Business Cloud API, including message handling, Webhooks, and Template management. Familiarity with the Embedded Signup and onboarding process.

2.

API Development & Integration

Design, develop, and maintain robust integrations between the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) and various internal/external systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, custom databases). Build and manage Webhooks for real-time message delivery, event processing, and notifications. Develop backend services and automation logic using Node.js, Python, or Java, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. Implement authentication, message templates, and message handling per Meta's compliance policies.

Solution Development

Build, test, and deploy end-to-end conversational flows, chatbots, and auto-response systems using frameworks like WhatsApp Flows. Develop and manage message templates for notifications, marketing, and transactional messages. Ensure all implementations comply with Meta's latest guidelines and policies.

System & App Integration

Integrate WhatsApp features seamlessly into web and mobile applications (iOS/Android) for omni-channel customer engagement. Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to embed interactive messaging experiences using React, Angular, Vue.js, Flutter, or React Native. Ensure secure and scalable data synchronization between WhatsApp conversations and backend systems.

Technical Compliance & Optimization

Stay up to date with Meta/WhatsApp API updates, policies, and best practices. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Manage Embedded Signup, sandbox environments, and production rollout processes.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Business Teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Create and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation, API references, and integration guides. Partner with Meta BSPs (Business Solution Providers) for setup, configuration, and issue resolution.

7.

Programming & Tech Stack:

Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java for backend development. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, JSON, and OAuth 2.0. Experience with React, or Vue.js for frontend development. Database experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

8.

Integration Skills:

Proven experience integrating APIs with CRM, ERP, or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk).

9.

Conversational Design:

Understanding of chatbot frameworks, NLP concepts, and conversational flow design principles.

10.

Good to Have

Experience with AI-driven chat automation or NLP engines (Dialogflow, Rasa, etc.). Exposure to real-time communication platforms like Twilio, Firebase, or SignalR. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring tools.
