The Duty Officer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day cinema operations during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent guest experience, smooth F&B service, staff coordination, and adherence to safety and brand standards. Candidates from
F&B, hospitality, or hotel management backgrounds
are strongly preferred due to the service-intensive nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
Act as the shift-in-charge for cinema operations during assigned duty hours
Ensure seamless guest flow across box office, ushering, F&B counters, and auditoriums
Handle guest complaints, feedback, and service recovery professionally
Monitor show schedules, seating, and crowd management
F&B Operations
Supervise F&B counter operations, hygiene, and service standards
Ensure food quality, presentation, and adherence to FSSAI norms
Coordinate with kitchen/back-end team for timely replenishment
Control wastage, spillage, and stock usage during the shift
Team Management
Allocate duties and manage frontline staff including F&B, ushers, and housekeeping
Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure grooming & discipline
Monitor attendance, shift handovers, and staff performance
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and emergency SOPs
Coordinate with security and technical teams during incidents
Maintain operational checklists and incident reports
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare shift reports covering footfall, sales issues, incidents, and feedback
Coordinate with mall management, vendors, and internal departments
Escalate operational issues to management as required
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate / Diploma in
Hotel Management, Hospitality, or F&B Operations
(preferred)
2-5 years of experience in
cinema operations, QSR, hotels, or large-format F&B
Strong customer handling and service recovery skills
Good understanding of F&B operations and hygiene standards
Ability to manage teams and work under pressure
Willingness to work in
rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
