Key Responsibilities

Provide round-the-clock medical care to ICU patients. Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients under the guidance of Intensivist/ICU Consultant. Conduct timely patient examinations, review vitals, and update treatment plans as needed. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, code blue situations, and acute clinical deterioration. Perform necessary clinical procedures such as IV cannulation, ABG sampling, catheterization, Ryle's tube insertion, etc. Support ventilator-related management as per consultant instructions. Document patient progress notes, orders, and treatment updates accurately in the EMR/patient file. Coordinate with nursing staff, technicians, and other departments for smooth ICU operations. Communicate patient status and critical updates to consultants and families as per protocol. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and infection control practices.
