Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Care:

DMOs assess patients, diagnose conditions, administer treatments, and monitor their progress.

Emergency Response:

They handle emergency situations, providing immediate medical care and stabilizing patients.

Coordination of Care:

DMOs collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Record Keeping:

They maintain accurate patient records, including histories, examinations, treatments, and progress notes.

Compliance and Safety:

DMOs ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control measures.

Administrative Duties:

They may be involved in tasks such as patient admissions and discharges, as well as risk management.

Communication:

DMOs communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.

Mentorship and Supervision:

In some cases, DMOs may supervise junior doctors and other healthcare staff.

Staying Updated:

DMOs are expected to stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing education.
